A 20W fiber laser for metals and a 2W diode laser for organic materials, combined in a single desktop unit. Switch between laser sources in seconds and engrave on 25+ material types with 0.01mm accuracy. Built for creators, small businesses, and makerspaces who want professional results without the complexity.
The F1 Ultra pairs a 20W fiber laser with a 2W diode laser so you can handle metals, wood, leather, glass, and acrylic from the same machine.
The 1064nm fiber laser source from JPT delivers permanent, high-contrast markings on stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, titanium, and gold. Ideal for serial numbers, logos, QR codes, and decorative engravings. Achieves marking speeds up to 10,000mm/s with consistent quality across production runs.

The blue diode laser handles organic materials beautifully — personalized wood gifts, leather wallets, acrylic signs, and paper craft.
Expand your capabilities with the rotary attachment for rings, tumblers, and cylindrical items. Add air assist for cleaner cuts on acrylic.
From personalized jewelry to industrial part marking, the F1 Ultra handles real-world applications across dozens of material types.
We built this machine around three principles: precision where it matters, versatility across materials, and simplicity from the first power-on.
0.01mm Engraving Accuracy
The imported Scanlab galvo head positions the laser beam with 0.01mm resolution. Fine text at 1mm height, microdetail on jewelry, and photographic reproductions on metal come out sharp and consistent. The enclosed optical path blocks external vibration and dust contamination that degrade quality on open-frame systems.
25+ Material Types Supported
The 20W fiber laser handles stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, titanium, and gold. The 2W diode laser covers wood, bamboo, leather, acrylic, glass, paper, and fabric. Switch between sources in seconds through the touchscreen. No need for two separate machines or manual realignment.
2-Hour Setup & Training
The built-in touchscreen interface walks you through setup step by step. Material presets for common substrates are preloaded, so you can start engraving on stainless steel or birch plywood right out of the box. Most users complete their first real project within two hours of unboxing.
Honest answers to the things people ask most. If yours isn't here, just drop us a line.
The 20W fiber laser (1064nm wavelength) is designed for metals and hard materials — stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, titanium, gold, and anodized surfaces. The 2W diode laser (455nm wavelength) works on organic and non-metallic materials — wood, bamboo, leather, acrylic, paper, fabric, and certain plastics. They're fundamentally different laser technologies optimized for different material categories, which is why the F1 Ultra includes both.
No. This is an engraving and marking system, not a cutting system. The 20W fiber laser can deep-engrave soft metals (e.g., 0.3mm depth on aluminum at slow speeds), but it cannot cut through sheet metal. If you need metal cutting, you'll want a higher-powered fiber laser cutter in the 500W+ range. We're transparent about this because it's the most common misconception about galvo-based fiber laser systems.
The F1 Ultra is compatible with xTool Creative Space (included free), LightBurn, and EzCad2 for the fiber module. You can import SVG, DXF, AI, PNG, JPG, and BMP files. For photo engraving, we recommend using the built-in grayscale photo processing in xTool Creative Space, which handles dithering and power curve optimization automatically.
The standard engraving area is 115mm x 115mm (approximately 4.5" x 4.5"). With the optional riser base, you can accommodate objects up to 100mm tall. The rotary attachment supports cylindrical items from 4mm to 100mm in diameter. The bed size is sufficient for most jewelry, small parts, and personalization work, but it's not designed for large-format projects like full-size signage.
Color marking on stainless steel is achieved by controlling the laser's pulse frequency and speed to create thin oxide layers on the metal surface. Different frequencies produce different colors — blues appear around 30-50kHz, golds around 60-80kHz. The results are permanent but subtle and work best on polished 304/316 stainless steel. We include preset color parameters for common stainless grades, though achieving specific colors may require experimentation since alloy composition affects the output.
For metal engraving: no. For cutting or engraving acrylic and wood with the diode laser: recommended. Air assist blows a stream of compressed air onto the work surface during engraving, which reduces charring on wood, prevents flare-ups on acrylic, and improves edge quality. It's sold separately and connects via a quick-release fitting on the machine.
Fiber laser sources are essentially maintenance-free with an expected lifespan of 100,000+ hours. The diode laser module has a shorter lifespan (approximately 10,000-20,000 hours depending on usage intensity) and may need replacement eventually. Routine maintenance involves cleaning the lens cover (every 20-50 hours of use), checking the exhaust filter if using an external fume extractor, and keeping the galvo mirror path free of debris. No consumables like CO2 tubes or gas refills are needed.
The F1 Ultra is fully enclosed and rated as a Class 1 laser product when the lid is closed — the safest classification. It carries CE and FDA certifications. The interlock system disables both laser sources if the enclosure is opened during operation. Fume extraction is required for any cutting or prolonged engraving sessions. We recommend an external fume extractor with activated carbon filtration (not included) for shop or classroom environments.
